London, UK, September 2022 – PETRONAS Lubricants International (PLI) makes its return to the international automotive service trade show, Automechanika, to showcase new ranges of lubricant and technical solutions for the demanding and ever-changing needs of distributors, mechanics and every-day drivers. Held at the Messe Frankfurt, Germany, from 13th-17th September, it promises to showcase the best innovations from the top international players in the automotive industry, delivering some of the best sustainable solutions, trends, and training this year’s participants have to offer.
The trade fair promises to highlight even more sustainable solutions for every-day drivers and therefore, this year, PLI will be showcasing its brand-new PETRONAS Syntium range; originally designed for the PETRONAS Mercedes AMG Formula One team. Syntium comes complete with CoolTech+™ technology that cuts vehicle emissions and fuel consumption by up to 3%, saving motorists money and minimising the environmental impact of driving. Not only does the new range offer 37.8% more protection against the wear and tear of critical parts within an engine but also targets heat critical zones to prevent build-up of deposits. This means that the new and improved lubricant can reduce maintenance costs, but also extends the life of everyday vehicles.
Recently PLI also launched new packaging for its PETRONAS Syntium range. The new ‘Bag-in-a-Box' (BIB) further strengthens the company’s commitment to sustainability by using 92% less plastic compared to its original packaging, dramatically reducing plastic waste and pollution. It is a cost-effective form of packaging made up of a robust, fully recyclable cardboard outer box, displayed with high quality printing, and held an inner plastic bag with an integrated outlet tap. PETRONAS Syntium BIB provides a clean pour with no spillage or glugging, ensuring maximum product usage with a resealable lid. The carton pack is fully UN certified, meaning it complies with all transport regulations for the packaging and shipping of dangerous goods, further positioning PLI ahead of its competitors.
Continuing to highlight the brand’s commitment to sustainability, PLI will also display is the revamped PETRONAS iona range. After relaunching the innovative lubricant in November 2021, following its initial launch in 2019 and a considerable boom in the EV market, this new generation of lubricant has been reformulated to help accelerate a net-zero future. PETRONAS iona optimises the energy efficiency, safety and performance of electric vehicles and is PLI’s most advanced fluid solution that has been expertly designed for electric vehicles.
Finally, the PETRONAS Tutela range, designed to not only meet the varied demands of complex, modern vehicles, but to offer complete mechanical protection for automatic transmissions, will also be making an appearance and for the first time this year, PETRONAS will also be showcasing the Tutela range of coolants and break fluids. Formulated with cooling hydraulic systems that guarantee superior functionality and safety, Tutela is able to seamlessly combat high temperatures and compensate for any loss of energy.
As more and more modern drivers look to electric and automatic transmissions, PETRONAS is developing cutting-edge technology that further enhances vehicles functionality and usability.
This year, attendees will also be able to hear about the PETRONAS Network, a family of PETRONAS automotive workshops that span the continent and offer the high-quality PETRONAS products and services the brand is so well known for, first-hand. This means, PETRONAS can provide credible alternatives to manufacturer networks and offers full servicing for passenger cars, commercial vehicles and offer on-going maintenance, all while working with the outstanding quality of the PETRONAS lubricant solutions. Distributors at the show can find out more about joining the network, which is open to all who share the PETRONAS commitment to excellence and who also have the technical and personable skills to be the face of PETRONAS across Europe.
Domenico Ciaglia, EMEA Managing Director at PLI says, “We are thrilled to be a part of the Automechanika trade fair once again this year. It is ever more important that we get to meet our customers and distributors face to face and not only tell them about our new lubricant solutions, but also get feedback from our users. We are constantly developing, changing and innovating, and by having a relationship with our customers, allows PLI and our technical experts to deliver some of the best solutions in the automotive industry. Our developments in sustainability are only the beginning, and we’re proud to be sharing our newest launches in both product and packaging.
“We are also excited to further expand our PETRONAS Network and open the opportunity to deliver some of the best PETRONAS training and servicing to our distributors in both Germany and across Europe.” comments Ciaglia.
